West Kowloon Christmas Tree 2023: Explore Hong Kong’s Tallest 20-Meter Giant Christmas Tree and 6 Popular Photo Spots

Starting from November 24, the West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park will transform into a Christmas town! The protagonist, the “giant Christmas tree,” is over 20 meters high, equivalent to more than 6 floors high. It is adorned with colorful lights and has a giant sparkling five-pointed star on top. At night, the lights shine brightly! And this summer’s popular “Harbour Fun Carnival” fireworks display on the water will be staged again in a new winter look at Victoria Harbour. It’s really exciting!

There are several giant “LOVE” signs, exquisitely decorated Christmas trees, and Christmas reindeer in the town, carrying a romantic atmosphere and spreading holiday warmth and blessings! During Christmas, Santa Claus will be welcoming everyone to the gift box-shaped Christmas house at any time, bringing festive surprises. In addition, the first West Kowloon Christmas Market will be held on the Art Park Lawn from December 21 to 30, 2023. The 10-day outdoor market will feature 25 specialty stalls, creative dining options, live performances, and Christmas pet surprises.

This summer, the “Happy Gathering Victoria Harbour Carnival” was very popular with the “Fantasy Singing Fragrant River” water fireworks, attracting many citizens and tourists to gather at Victoria Harbour. The eight new “Winter Victoria Harbour Water Fireworks”, each lasting 10 minutes, will be launched on December 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th (Christmas Eve), 25th (Christmas Day) and Boxing Day (December 26) at night. They will present a variety of Christmas-themed limited edition fireworks patterns on the sea surface including “Christmas Tree” and “Gifts”. The “HK” fireworks that attracted everyone’s attention in the summer will also appear again in Victoria Harbour. Citizens and tourists are invited not to miss it and capture the two limited edition patterns in the vicinity of West Kowloon Cultural District waterfront promenade with photos to freeze warm moments spent with family and friends during this festive season and convey warm holiday blessings!

West Kowloon Christmas Tree 2022 Review | 1: Super stunning 20-meter giant Christmas tree

This is the tallest outdoor Christmas tree in Hong Kong, standing at a height of 20 meters, equivalent to over 6 floors high. It is extremely impressive! Coupled with the playing of Christmas songs on-site and special flashing light effects, the twinkling stars complement the beautiful Victoria Harbour scenery. Come and watch before sunset to enjoy the sunset view, and after dark, you can see the illuminated Christmas tree and Christmas village more clearly. It’s super festive!

There are also several mini Christmas trees inside the venue for everyone to take photos. Among them, this tree also has flashing lights, with multiple strings of sparkling light bulbs hanging overhead. It’s really super romantic to come and see at night!

In addition to the giant Christmas tree, there are other installations in the Christmas town for everyone to check-in and easily take beautiful photos! 2) Take bus 296D/D8/11/203E/215X/281A to Kowloon Station Bus Terminus.

3) Alight at Yat Cheung Road and Austin Road West Mid-Point for minibuses 26D/74D/77M/26/74/74S.
* Starting from November 13, 2021, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, there will be temporary bus stops at “Museum Drive” and “Art Park” for bus route 296D.

* Minibus routes 26D/74D only operate on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
* Minibus routes 74/74S no longer pass through the West Kowloon Cultural District and only stop at Kowloon Station.
